Against the background of a general downturn in the manufacturing industry, the growth in cigarette production continues. The share of this sector  in the total volume of the manufacturing industry in the country is quite significant. Over the past 5 years, cigarette production in Armenia has grown at a significant pace.

For the country's economy, these figures are important because about 80% of cigarettes are exported. Consequently, in parallel with the increase in the production of cigarettes, the export volumes also increased. Armenian cigarettes are exported to more than 20 countries of the world. The main export destinations are the countries of the Middle East, Europe and the CIS. In recent years, large volumes of cigarettes have been shipped to Iraq and Syria. Buyers are also Georgia, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkmenistan and other countries.

Tobacco companies are one of the largest taxpayers in the country, thereby increasing the budget of our state. Construction of the plant directly affects the welfare of our people, creates hundreds of jobs.
